The Story
My father was a retired contractor who moved to the United States with a dream. He spent ten years personally building our family house with his own hands. Every part of that home was a symbol of his hard work and dedication.
A single neighbor's complaint turned that dream into an inspection nightmare. I had to watch him tear down almost everything he had built because of complex code technicalities. Seeing a decade of his labor destroyed hurt me deeply. That pain became my motivation.
I dedicated myself to studying building codes, electrical regulations, and safety standards. I wanted to make sure that no other family or contractor would ever have to go through that experience. ZING2 is built to help people access, understand, and pass code inspections with certainty.
What's in a Name?
This platform is inspired by that journey. In my native Cantonese, the word Zing² (整) means to fix, to organize, or to complete.
In the phonetic system of my language, the 2 represents the high-rising tone of that word. It is the sound of taking action. We chose the name ZING2 to bridge two worlds: the language of my heritage and the mathematical power of engineering. Our mission is to help you complete your projects correctly and fix safety compliance before it becomes a problem.
